Bethlehem Volunteers Needed

Want to remind TRCC that Bethlehem is just around the corner. Beginning Nov. 29, the Sunday after Thanksgiving, at 2pm, the 18-wheeler will be unloaded and setup will begin at City Park in San Marcos, just behind the old Lion’s Club Tube Rental Bldg. Setup will continue Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Bethlehem will happen Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings. If anyone can help out, it would be greatly appreciated.
In case you don’t know what Bethlehem is, it’s the little village of Bethlehem recreated complete with a live Nativity, the Three Wise Men, a camel, sheep, donkey’s, a bread shop, a carpenter shop where the kids make a Christmas themed ornament, possibly a jewelry shop, an Inn where smoked turkey legs are prepared and sold, a stage with Christmas music and plays are performed, and last but not least, a candle shop, where kids dip their own candle. If you would like to help out or perform on stage, call Tom or Paula Goynes at 512-392-6171.
What a blessing it is that the City of San Marcos allows this to happen on city property. Let’s not let it lack willing helpers.
November 29 Worship Service

TRCC Worship service will be held at the San Marcos River Retreat on Sunday, November 29th (after Thanksgiving) from 10:30 to noon.
Directions: Coming from Austin or San Antonio on IH 35: Take exit number 205, this is the Luling exit. Head South on Hwy 80 toward Luling. Go one and eight tenths (1.8) miles from IH 35 and then take a right onto County Road 101. Take an immediate left at the first intersection you come to onto CR 102. Then go one half (1/2) mile and take a right at Pecan Park Dr. It is about 1/4 mile to the Pecan Park Campground RV office (the white building on your left) and TG Canoe Livery (the white building on your right). Once you pass the Pecan Park Campground RV office (white building on left) and TG Canoe and Kayak (white building on right), follow the blacktop road turning left, to the San Marcos River Retreat. Park on the right next to the new metal building, before the gate.

Women’s Christmas Party & Brunch

Save the date! Enjoy a morning of fellowship, food and fun exchanging ornaments at the Women’s Christmas Party & Brunch. We will meet at Marilyn Donnelly’s house located at 613 Dartmouth St, San Marcos, TX on Saturday, December 5th from 10am to noon. Be looking for an evite and be sure to sign up to bring a food item.
2010 Budget Meeting

Join us this Sunday, November 15th as Adam continues his series, The Church That God Builds. After the worship service there will be a 2010 Budget Meeting. As Adam states in his letter to you, the Church Family, “Who we are called to be as a church in San Marcos impacts what we spend money on and how we budget future funds”. Please see attached letter from Adam for more insight regarding Sunday’s budget meeting and prepare your hearts. Food will be provided.
Samaritan’s Purse

Samaritan’s Purse is sharing the gospel of Christ with children around the world through their shoebox ministry, Operation Christmas Child. TRCC has the opportunity to participate in this outreach by collecting gift-filled boxes to be shared with children during the holidays.
